Thanks to the generosity of members of the Catholic Women's League in our pastoral area, these beautifully decorated shoeboxes are being filled with small presents for disadvantaged 12 to 15 year-old boys and girls in Albania, Montenegro, Tanzania and Romania.

The boxes will be distributed by Rotary International, which is a worldwide voluntary organisation dedicated to helping others.   It has no religious or political affiliations.

This was my first CWL monthly meeting after the fine 40th Anniversary lunch for the Lymington Section. It was great to meet up with the wonderful Doreen and the other ladies . After a very warm and open meeting, we took to the boxes. Sadly, I don't have children of my own, and it was quite special to be able to wrap up little presents for girls and boys in other parts of the world. A lovely way to spend an autumn afternoon. And these women have serious wrapping skills.
