First Communion 7th June 2015 feast of corpus christi

The church of Our ladies and St Joseph witnessed the first communion of the boys and girls from the parish. It indeed proved a happy occasion and very well attended.
Some pictures were taken to record the event but not one selfie amongst them....
Father David in the sermon asked how many of the congregation had taken a selfie and a fair number admitted to that. He went on to explain that the purpose of a selfie is to confirm your presence in someone who inspires you such as a celebrity. Father David went on to say that Jesus in a way is God's selfie.A reflection of God and a celebration of God in human form.
