A NEW GENERATION FOR A NEW PARISH

The first new parishioner of our new Parish made his debut on Sunday morning at Lymington. He is Magnus Nathan Fonder.

Fr Danny introduced him after the Sunday Mass at Our Lady and St Joseph, but as most of us had omitted to bring our opera glasses, here is a close-up for you all. Isn't he lovely!

Very lovely! And very tiny - being christened a Great Gift from God must be a lot to live up to for such a little person; best to have a wee snooze. How apt to have a tiny infant be part of one of the early masses of the newly combined parish?
Elsewhere, on another church blog (sssh there are others but this is the nicest), there's been discussion this week on the pros and cons of very small children attending mass. All babies and toddlers are likely to scream and burble; it's as natural as coughing, sneezing, dropping a hymnal, or hitting the wrong note when everyone else has managed the right one. I think it's lovely to see babies in church; we're Family and they're the future. Thanks for the beautiful pic.
