The very first Papal tweet ever was the Pope's announcement last week that the Vatican had opened a new website in English called The Vatican Today  [http://news.va/en], which doesn't try to cover everything in the way that Papa Ratzinger's blog [http://paparatzinger4-blograffaella.blogspot.com/] does, but is sensibly selective. There are plenty of links for anyone who wants to explore further, and it's a great relief for those of us whose Italian has seen better days (or no days at all) not to have to interpret our browser's pidgin English. We have added links both to this new site, and to the excellent Vatican Radio website [http://www.radiovaticana.org/en1/index.asp], in our right-hand column.
